Day 1 - Arrive in SJU airport in the afternoon or evening and walk out into tropical breezes as soon as you leave the terminal.  A few steps from the exit and you’ll be greeted by Ash herself in-style with cool drinks and refreshments for your quick (45 minutes -1 hour) trip to our beach front accommodations, the colorful and welcoming “Mar y Miel” our own beach home for the next 6 nights.  Along the way we’ll take the scenic route along the beach or the expressway (dependent on your time of arrival).  Our first day is a stress-free introduction to beach life, island time, and integrating with the tropics, own home, and each other.  A delicious and healthful dinner of Puerto Rican cuisine is provided on-site for our welcome meal.  Our first group circle will form after dinner and allow us to fully ground and prepare to rest.

Day 2 - Welcome to the most gorgeous sunrise of your day.  We enjoy early morning meditation, coffee, tea, and quiet time to honor the sanctity of the morning hours.  Awaken your Spirit with a movement practice on the front lawn followed by a tropical breakfast at the house.  Our first day is an orientation of the options in the immediate area.  Explore the splendor of Playa Fortuna right in front of our house, walk to 42+ restaurants within 10 minutes at Los Kioscos, take a swim in the calm “bath” waters of El Balnerio at Luquillo Beach just a short half-mile walk down the beach, and get acquainted with our beloved neighbors Norma and Saulo.  Our Grounded in Gratitude Playshop & Sacred Earth Connection Practice will be offered in the morning & afternoon at Mar y Miel.  We will organize small groups and guidance to different restaurants for lunch and dinner, and you get to explore the many choices that are available even when we stay in the area and walk. 

Day 3 - The jungle calls and we must GO!  This is our early morning rise day and you’ll know why as we enjoy a tranquil forest experience during our short hike, water blessing, beauty sessions and deep nature connection.  After we receive our fill as well as some provided snacks we’ll leave the jungle before lunch and pass crowds of tourists just arriving.  We stop at our favorite fresh food restaurant, 18 Degrees Juice Bar, you could indulge in a leisurely lunch and the patio here, or in a few restaurants in this block.  Lunch can be ordered and paid for individually and is on your own.  There is an authentic Puerto Rican bakery, the US Forest Service information center for El Yunque Rainforest, and a few shops in the same block as the Juice bar.  The afternoon is for rest and reflection back and at our beach home.  Plans for dinner are the only thing you’ll have to keep you busy all afternoon.  Order in pizza?  Try out another kiosco?  Rest your belly after vegan empanadas for lunch and stick with a homemade pina colada for dinner?  Your choice.

Day 4 - Greet the day with your friends, fruit, and fantastic views of sunrise over the sea.  Morning practice on the lawn with breakfast to follow.  This is the day that the beach has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  We journey by car, kayak, or by foot to our special spot for beaching it all day at the top 10 rated most beautiful beach in the world.   It has the distinction of Blue Flag, a classification awarded annually by the European Foundation.  

Our special chosen spot will be equip with cooler for you to fill, and any other beach toys you bring from the beach house are yours to enjoy for the day.  We will be close to the restaurants, beach stands, and bathrooms.  We will set up in the shade where you’re welcome to spread out your beach blanket and know your stuff will be supervised.  Options to rent a beach lounge chair and/or beach umbrella are available (~$20/person).  Options to support the local coconut ice cream vendor will be available if you stay right where you are and wait for him to pass (~$7).  Options to support Iris and her 3rd generation, family-run beach stand with a purchase of fried dough and fish snacks or a pina colada served in an actual pineapple (~$7-25).  We return to our home before sunset to get refreshed and prepared to receive.  We settle in for sunset smoothies & light snacks provided along with fresh aloe for skin soothing, and sacred sounds as we greet the evening with a sound bath.  Dinner on your own.

Day 5 - Another majestic sunrise… is it really possible?!?  Feel the freedom of the ocean breeze in our special morning session of breathwork and sacred silk dance.  We dance in the day and then feast on the tropical fruit and granola, the morning breakfast on-site.  Discover Fajardo today we journey to explore the beaches, marinas, natural reserve, lighthouse, snorkeling, an a bioluminescent bay.  Not to mention the shopping, restaurants, and fresh fish ceviche options.  We will be in Fajardo during the lunch and dinner hours.  Back at the beach house we have another evening of fun, a fire ceremony and dance party on our own front lawn.  

Day 6 - Our final day to soak in the island vibes to our fullest potential.  After sunrise sadhana, morning practice and on-site breakfast we head out to visit Luquillo in a guided tour of the downtown, and the central plaza, we also visit the surfer beach La Pared and will be near food trucks, air-conditioned restaurants including the local panadaria, and our favorite surfer restaurant Boardriders during the lunch hour, lunch is on your own.  We regroup to walk the beach of La Pared to the blue waters of the next beach of Luquillo, Playa Azul.  This is my own home beach since before birth, if you see Ash turn into a mermaid and swim away on this part of the tour it’s all good because you’ll be only a mile beachwalk back to our house.  Beach walks to beach bars and car rides available to get you back to the house feeling satisfied and ready for a restful night with REAL ocean waves to rock you to sleep.

Day 7 - Catch your final beach sunrise of the trip.  The movement & breathwork practice and final circle gathering will be offered early so that you can enjoy a relaxed morning of airport shuttle and breakfast both provided for you as well as travel tips, airport guidance, and travel snacks.

Arriving before Noon on the arrival Day 1 and departing after Noon on the departure Day 7 is absolutely possible and if needed accommodations and transportation can be arranged.  The Uber fee to our accommodations from the airport is less than $100 and the standard accommodations in the Luquillo area are $150-300 per night.
